Set yourself free

Forgive your brother 77 times !!!! Crazy, it is even harder for first few times... Imagine the anger and emotion provoked every time you see the person.

Mr. Tan given me a good message last Sunday. In fact, I always enjoy his message where it was so down to earth. I chatted with him, his message was directed to some of our friends apparently, but they were not around, too bad..

Well, I told him I agreed with him that it was the one that you hold dear and love most that makes it harder to forgive.

Back home, still reflecting on his message and I think the Lord is talking to me : Forgive is not for others, it is for myself to move on. It is not about to set the person you can't forgive from the prison, but set yourself free from your own prison. Set yourself away from the anger, hurt and disappointment. Not easy to forget, but acknowledge it and move on...

Yes, the Lord has spoken to me.

My faith so far

Mr Zen threw me the ball, that kept me thinking the book I last read.

Dear and I have a good laugh after relating to certain experiences the author wrote, particularly brought us back a joke where one of the naughty friends had shared :-).

The more we read, the more we are brought down to earth and to reflect the journey we have traveled so far with Christ.

We had been reflecting and discussing about our walk so far and reaching to certain decision. This book was a good read for us / me because it bring back certain fundamental values to us. You may sneer at the "consumer Christianity" the author experience, but deep in my heart, we are not far away from what he mentioned, it just another form.... Caution! Caution !

Five Books that mean a lot to me (at this point of time)

The naked Truth: Mackintosh
This book was a fun read where the author tell you all the risks you take to convert as a mac user. I happened to pick it up and read, and then took the risks even though the author has forewarned me. :-)

Attachment Parenting
This book tears down every teaching we got from parents, peers and "so call" expertise about parenting. It changed the ways we value the gifts God has given to me and dear.

Intended for pleasure: sex for christian couple
Ya ya, you laugh at me right now. This book was assigned to dear and I to read during our pre-marital counseling. We had a good laugh and discussion, especially the squeeze technique they offered in the book. BUT this book do open up our minds about sex - in healthy manner :-P

Learning togather
This book led me to my PhD research - still "damaging" my head with it as one always like to comment about it :-P

Of course lastly:
The Bible - a book that brought me to who I am right now - sinner or saint - both equally revealed to me from this book

We specially brought this back from Italy, costed us about 3 euro. Fancy it from two Hong Kong backpackers, who we knew they purposely searched for one in Italy.

The T family basically is super Spaghetty fan, so we bought one just to see how different it take.

I had a little "fobia" when knowing this is made of squid spice, so a little reserved to taste it till this Saturday.

We had to because the normal type was out of stock and I was lazy to drive to the supermarket... so at the end, dear decided to cook it and it looked like below...

Way to go, dear

Well, lately dear has been picking up driving after a few "cruel" negotiation :-)

Now she will drive dino1 to music class, and once back to my mum's place. The latest "grand" adventure was to drive to church during an event when I couldn't drive them together with me.

Well, many will be impressed by her, but not knowing the story behind. She will tell you how I have "coached" her in a "nice and helpful" manner...

However, I am looking for a date out with you driving me around, dear :-P
