How to hide?

I am scratching my head how to pack these back and more so, no 'agreement' obtained from beloved dear, wait till she gets to know how much I spent on them...I am expecting 'music' to my ears :-P

By the way, you only see the tip of the ice-berg :-P

Fallen Leaves

I need to put on coat now as I walk in the streets and lying on the greenly grass in the park. I have been enjoying 'lazy' life here really :-) There were only a few meetings in the office and whenever there is a long gap, i will sneaked out and enjoy my 'rest' in the park.

It is getting cold and the leaves on the trees started turning yellow and falling off.. I think it will be romantic if dear is lying beside me, together enjoying the sunshine and cool breeze...

Just got to know the other part of the work is experiencing spring season, reminds me everything has its own timing and I trust Him to lead us on....

Well prepared :-)

The sun here is fierce and shining direct from the sky as there is less cloud here. Fear not, this time I am well prepared as dear and I shopped for UV protection scream and we chose Olay brand.

It works wonder really as I can see my face is not 'badly burnt' by the sun ray... Won't mind to be tanned, but it must be a healthy one :-)

(I know dear is snapping now when she reads this)

Back 'Home'

I came backto my beloved Sheffield....

I was blessed with my ex-students who really took good care of me...

There is not much changes in this city, whether still better than Londom and people are friendlier. I am like coming to my 'second home' because I still can remember what bus number and where about to look for something...:-)

I think I miss Sheffield very much :-)

Turkish Delight, Anyone???

This time our boss brought us to this Turkish restaurant- Kazan. I was like - oh man, I just tried to get away from rice as my PT advises me to go for protein diet - I tell you more next time :-P

However, it turned out to be really delicious food and I really really enjoy it. I ordered this mix grill, of chicken breast, lamb, and kofte served on sizzler with tomato butter sauce, yoghurt and matchstick potato - a kind of Kebaps but not what we get in KL- no rice of course :-P

What really bring me to heaven is the dessert: Baklava - I don't really know how to describe it, but I like the sweet that they wrap with this thin crispy pastry...oh awesome..

and then Turkish coffeee which has it own taste which i think StarBucks and Coffee Bean can shy away... :-)

Well, the turkish delights come with the bill, as it is free for the diners, well why not, just a few pieces of that already costed my boss £300+ (of course that includes wine )

I look forward to next visit !! Haha

SEX table talk

Well, there is no business talk whenever we dine together. So, all the married women and me were talking about our children. The other gentlemen, JW is a confident single man who enjoy his singlehood in his 50s and the other one just get serious with his housemate and started the relationship. So my boss AB, my lady colleagues ER and GB and myself were chatting about our children.

Over the table talk, I started to know my team better. ER has his son at the age of 29 and her first husband was zealous about this son even he was unborn - Strange to me but ER said there is a medical term for this jealousy - so she left him to raise him and later with her current partner. My boss AB who can't conceive naturally and get her 'tube-baby' fairly unexpectedly quick. So both of them treasure their children dearly. GB who has 2 boys and she is pretty freak control over them. I always laugh at her the way she get so nervous when she found out her son wanted to do something she wouldn't approve.

Then, having teenage sons and grown up children, they start talking about how they talk about sex with their children.. that is fine with me... and because they were arguing when should be the OK age for their children to have sex, they relate to their experience when they have their first sex experience, not in detail but fairly open.... I was like ... uh ... I guess I might turned red but it may be the wine thing.. haha

Luckily, they didn't turn to me and ask: And how about you? When did you have your first sex experience? I really thank God THIS did not happen over the table talk. :-)

FANTASTIC MATE!!!

I finally finished my part of the workshop.. to our horror, we found the delegates were CFO, CEO, FD and big big guns of global and international companies. Of course there are some middle exec etc.

I got one MD and one FD came over and thanked me for my session, and of course i had 2 feedbacks that my Asian ascent was hard to catch (What do you expect, come on..)

Overall, I am proud of myself and I am well pleased. I really thank God for that :-)

OH I am so envy

Dear ER who is such a good mother, wanted to buy this Abercrombie & Fitch hoody for her 22 years old son, because he lost his during his rugby game (I suspect someone has stolen it, rather he lost it). So she wanted to buy one to surprise him.

Of course, since I just visit the shop last Sun, so we went over even though all the tube lines were closed due to the 'usual and common' strike.

It was dark and dim inside the shop as I mentioned, and ER is like an odd figure there because I guess she was the oldest customer there, haha. She literally ask the muscular sales 'boy' to bring out 3 pieces of the hoody outside the shop so that she could have a nice look at them and picked the right colour.

So bought the one that you see and I was like so so so envy with her son.

I wanted something similar like below:

I spared it because I know once dear found out the price she will KILL me!!!!

On Strike Again!!!!

The weather is so good this week as the londoners say they are all 2 digit temperature throughout the week. In fact I felt warm in the office with my tie on and sleep topless in the hotel.

BUT the @?>$z tube lines were all on strike and I rather stay in than go out. Luckily I stayed near Westminster, I still can enjoy the river view and big ben and London eye :-)

Jet Lag

I always have jet lag and it is really killing...
I woke up at 3 mid night which is 10am at home country, then I hardly get back to sleep..
By the time reaches 3pm here, I will really really need my bed because it is 10pm at home, my sleeping time.

Last night my team mates arrived and we have our 'reunion' dinner.. In such a good mood, wine is necessary :-) and I just have one glass of white wine. We chatted till mid night and I was already half dead. Tired and headache..

I had a hang over this morning, took in panadol pills and drink lots of water, I must refresh myself and maintain my 'professional image' :-P

Meetings back to back, I wonder how would I survive today!!!!

I am bored

Yes, it is just 2nd day in London and I am really really bored. Called dear and said I want to come back, can't imagine how I am going to survive for 3 weeks in UK.

The first day, I was annoyed with the IT helpdesk of the hotel I stay, they tried and failed to fix up my internet connection with my ibook. It really up set me because I really need it this trip. (Luckily they fixed it first thing next morning)

So, I went to sleep a while and go out for a walk. It was nice weather and they said the summer finally comes to London. It was raining in the past few weeks, the Londoners just flooded out of their home to parks and shopping areas.

If I told you I have not done any shopping, I obviously lied :-)

I just want to visit Abercromie and Fitch in Piccadilly. I quite of like the idea that the outlet designs it like shopping in the disco, i wonder how you shop in such a dim light. You can also feast our eyes with muscular sales men there, ladies- that's their trademark if you know the brand. Tempted to buy a hoody but dear has warned me, because I have so many in the closet - I think this is my obbession lately haha

Oh, to prove that I am rally bored I attended 2 services on Sunday, both at the hillsong church. I actually wanted to visit another church near Piccadilly as well but missed the timing. Why, I was sun-bathing (not really that) at St James park, and met this 30 old student and have a good chat. I enjoy just lazying in the park if the weather allows. :-)

At night, had dinner outdoor, I like the cold breeze :-) and then headed to rrom and rest.... I can know for sure this is going to be this way for the rest of the week. I look forward to have my team mates joining me tonight. I already asked ER to walk the parks with me when she arrives this evening.

Not much of exciting event for boring people like me, was thinking if I like to drink beer then pubs will be the night life for me, the fact is that I am not pub-hover.

I must think of something to kill my time here especially after the working hours. Any suggestions?????
